Treatments We Offer You

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into the skin. At Newquay Physiotherapy we practice Traditional Chinese Acupuncture to treat a wide range of acute or chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, sciatica and back pain.

We also practice the more Western technique of Dry Needling to target and reduce pain caused by overactive, tight muscles.
Physiotherapy is used to assess, diagnose and treat problems you may have with joints, bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves.

Overall it helps to promote, maintain and restore your physical well-being so that you can continue or return to your work, everyday activities and sport.
Pilates is a form of exercise which targets and strengthens the muscles of the abdomen, spine and major joints to enhance core stability and muscular balance.

It can help to treat conditions such as back pain, neck pain and shoulder pain. It can also greatly improve mobility, strength, flexibility and function.
With the everyday demands and stresses we place on our bodies it is common to feel dull aches and pains caused by muscle tightness.

Sports massage is an excellent therapeutic way of relieving this tightness, relaxing muscles to leave you feeling invigorated and refreshed with immediate effect.

A Few Comments From Our Clients

‎Last winter I developed a pain in my shoulder which was found to be a rotator cuff injury. After a few visits to a chiropractor the pain and limitation hadn’t gone away so I went for physiotherapy at the NHS. I was given a cortisone injection which didn’t help.

An ultrasound and x-ray later, I was told by staff that I would probably need surgery to fix the tendon. I began seeing Kate at Newquay Physiotherapy for treatment and dry needling sessions in the area around my shoulder.

Within a day I could feel a restoration of mobility and reduction in pain. My shoulder movement and strength have now returned to normal and I am able to surf as often as I wish without problems.

Thanks to Kate’s treatments I’m now free from pain - my shoulder troubles are behind me!
